Academic Integrity and Student Original Work Policy

Effective 4 May 2026 · Version v1.0

VeyJet — InfiniNova Limited (星天域有限公司) · support@infini-nova.com

This policy binds us, our mentors and contractors, our clients and the students we work with. It is not negotiable and it is not waivable by a Service Order.

1. The principle

The student's work must be the student's own. Our job is to make the student more capable of producing it — by asking better questions, teaching method, giving feedback, and holding a standard. Our job is never to produce it for them.

This is not only ethics. A student who submits work that is not their own risks rescinded admission, competition disqualification, school discipline and a permanent record — and the risk lands on the student, years after the fee was paid.

2. What we do, and what we will not do

We doWe do not
Ask questions that force the student to think harderWrite or substantially rewrite an essay, personal statement or supplement
Teach method — research design, engineering process, writing structure, argumentComplete coursework, problem sets or a project
Give written and verbal feedback on the student's own draftRewrite a draft into our own prose and hand it back
Suggest technical direction, sources, and ways to test an ideaRun the experiment, write the code, or produce the data
Train interview and judge Q&A through practice and challengeCoach a student to misrepresent what they did
Review a finished piece for clarity, accuracy and fitFabricate, embellish or "upgrade" an activity, credential or result
Advise on what a school or competition requires to be disclosedHelp conceal collaboration or AI use from a body that requires disclosure
Help shortlist real opportunities the student applies to on meritPurchase a place, an award, a publication or a result
—Log into, or submit through, any school, competition or application platform as the student

Feedback vs. writing — where the line actually is. We may tell a student a paragraph is unclear, that an argument does not follow, that an anecdote does not show what they think it shows, or that a section is missing. We may not supply the replacement sentence for the student to paste in. If our contribution would have to be disclosed as co-authorship for the submission to be honest, we have gone too far.

3. Artificial intelligence

Students may use AI tools only as the relevant school, competition or platform permits, and must disclose that use exactly as those rules require. AI-generated text submitted as the student's own original writing is not acceptable, regardless of whether a detector would catch it.

We do not submit student personal information or unpublished student work to any general-purpose AI service, and we do not permit student material to be used to train any model (Privacy Policy §1).

4. Credentials and account access

Never give us a password. We do not accept credentials for the Common App, a school portal, a competition platform, an email account or a testing service, and we will not ask. Final review and submission are done by the student, with the guardian, on their own devices and accounts — unless an official platform expressly permits delegated access and you authorise it in writing.

5. STEM projects — safety and research ethics

Before any work involving a laboratory, chemicals, human participants, vertebrate animals, pathogens, tissue, medical or health data, field sampling, drones, machinery or off-site travel, the student must have: the applicable school, institution or competition approval (including an IRB/SRC or equivalent where the competition requires it); adult supervision; guardian consent; and the relevant safety training.

We will pause a project — regardless of deadline — where safety, ethics or the rules require it. We do not guarantee eligibility, acceptance or an award in any competition.

6. Attribution

Every submission must truthfully attribute collaboration, mentorship, prior art, data sources, code libraries, templates and third-party contributions, in the form the receiving body requires. Where a competition requires a mentor to sign a statement about the mentor's role, our mentor signs it accurately, even when accuracy is unhelpful.

7. If we suspect a breach

We will pause the affected work, ask for an explanation and the underlying evidence (drafts, notebooks, data, version history), and give the student and guardian a fair chance to respond. Depending on the finding we may require remediation, withdraw from a submission, terminate under Education Consulting Services Agreement §8, or — only where law, competition rule or safety requires it — disclose to the relevant body.

We will not help conceal a violation. We will also not report a student to a school or competition to punish a billing dispute; disclosure happens only on the grounds above.

8. If you ask us to cross the line

We will refuse and explain why. We will record the request. A repeated request after a written explanation is a material breach of Education Consulting Services Agreement §4, and we may terminate.

We understand the pressure that produces the request. The answer is still no.

9. Our own people

Every mentor and contractor is bound to this policy by contract. A breach by one of our people is a terminable breach of their engagement, and we will tell the affected family.
